Generosity Meeting Students in Need

Many community college students balance family, work, and coursework, with over half facing food or housing insecurity, as well as needs such as childcare and transportation. These barriers can derail their education and future stability.

Community College of Philadelphia is committed to addressing these challenges. Through the Foundation’s student emergency funds, distributed by the College’s Single Stop office, donors provide essential aid for food, rent, utilities, childcare, and more—helping students stay on track.

By supporting basic student needs, donors help break down the barriers that prevent students from reaching their full potential. This vital assistance not only helps students succeed academically but also creates lasting change, breaking the cycle of poverty for them and their families.
